At La Casa del Rey, we completely renovated and rebuilt this 1925 Mediterranean Revival property to bring it into the modern era while preserving the traditional character that makes it distinctive. The comprehensive, to-the-studs transformation paired modern amenities and renewed living spaces with carefully restored architectural details.
A terra cotta barrel tile roof, restored front porch, Spanish-style courtyard arch, and handcrafted cedar doors and windows honor the home’s original style. Inside, preserved arched plaster ceilings, a reclaimed mantel, and original French doors sit alongside white oak flooring, exposed cedar beams, and custom arched windows.
The reimagined kitchen features a marble waterfall island, Big Chill appliances, and a walk-in pantry. A main-level owner’s retreat includes a private den, dressing room, and marble bathroom with a soaking tub. A covered lanai with a wood-burning fireplace and a new detached two-car garage extend the home’s comfort and function beyond its interior.
The result is a home rebuilt for contemporary living, with its historic identity still at the heart of every space.
